Policies

Please Note

​

  • All reservations have a two night minimum

  • Rates are subject to change without notice; once you book, rates are firm for that stay

  • Rates are subject to 13% HST.

  • There are no refunds for early departure or late arrivals. 

  • Guests are considered any person two (2) years of age and olders.  Children under 2 years old  stay at no charge.

  • A fishing license is required on all Canadian waters. 

  • If you have rented one of our Fishing Boats, this is a reminder that you must have your full Canadian Boating License (https://www.boatsmartexam.com/ca) in order to operate it. We will require a $500 pre-authorization security deposit for each boat rented on a valid credit card for possible damages, that is later cancelled after the boat is inspected upon return. GAS IS AT AN ADDITIONAL COST and will be billed upon return at the end of the rental period.

  • Boat rentals are from 8am on the morning after you check-in, until 7pm on the evening of the last day of rental.  Boats can only be on the water half an hour after after sunrise and half an hour after sundown (approx. 7pm) on any night, under any circumstances.

Policies & Procedures

The West Arm Lodge and Restaurant will not be held liable or responsible for loss of recreation opportunities due to weather, power failure or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Check-in time is from 3pm to 9pm. There will be no check-ins after 9pm so please arrange your arrival accordingly. Check-out time is 10am. 

 

Day guests are required to check-in at the office and pay their day fee ($10/person/day) before heading to your cottage. Each cottage is limited to 2 people/cottage per day.

We require a $500 pre-authorization on a valid credit card as a cleaning/damage deposit per cottage rented, upon check in. This is later released once your cottage is inspected after your departure and could take up to 7-10 days.

 

Please remember to bring your own Pillows, Bath/Shower Towels, and Toiletries.  We provide fully cleaned and sanitized sheets, and a light-weight blanket, hand towels, tea towels and a dish sponge only. If you think you will need additional blankets, please ensure you bring them. We also have a minimum of one (1) fan in each cottage. You are welcome to bring additional fans.

 

Your kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, drip coffee maker and a kettle, in addition to plates, cutlery, etc.  However, we do not provide or have available food, ice, condiments, etc.  There are grocery stores in both Noelville and St. Charles, around 12 minutes south or north of us, respectively.

 

Your cottage allows only one vehicle (two for the Oak cottage) to park on the main property; other vehicles may be able to park in our auxiliary lot, but space is not guaranteed.

We do provide free wi-fi in certain areas of the resort, close to the Lodge. The further away from the main Lodge and Welcome Centre your device is, the weaker the signal will be, if available at all.  Wi-fi is provided for light duty communications only, such as checking your email and cannot support streaming (Netflix, Crave, YouTube), video calling (Facetime, Skype), or other bandwidth-intensive activities. If a device is found to be using too much bandwidth, it may be blocked from using the wi-fi completely, to free up capability for other guests. Please use the wi-fi sparingly, and with fair use in mind.  Please ask for the current wi-fi password upon check-in.

Pet Policies

  • There is a one-time surcharge of $50/pet/week.

  • Maximum 2 pets allowed per occupancy.

  • The guest is solely responsible for any damage caused by their pets.

  • Pets must be on a leash at all times unless swimming.

  • You must pick up after your pet at all times.

  • Excessive barking will not be tolerated and if it continues you may be asked to leave with no refunds.

Deposits/Payments

  • All rates are in Canadian Dollars and subject to applicable taxes. At time of reservation full payment is required. For all reservations our Terms and Conditions / Cancellation Policy applies.

  • Reservation accommodation is guaranteed upon receipt and acceptance of the required full payment by Visa, MasterCard, Interac or cash (in-person only)..

  • Payments will be debited from guest accounts on the confirmed departure date for any additional items purchased, when final check-out balance is calculated.

  • A  security/damage pre-authorization of $500 for each cottage and/or boat will be required by valid Visa or MasterCard at check-in. Should a cottage/boat/property be left in excessively dirty or damaged condition additional funds will be due.  Upon check-out and once our staff has inspected the cottage/boat/property and it is found in acceptable condition, this pre-authorization is released.

Payment

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Interac (in-person only),  or cash as methods of payment for any outstanding balances.  Reservations cannot be made by debit card or cash, unless done in person here at the Lodge.

 

Cancellation Policy - IMPORTANT

Cottage rentals require a 50% deposit when booking. Your balance is due a minimum of 45 days prior to your arrival. If payment is not made at least 45 days prior to your arrival date, this will be classed as a cancellation and you will forfeit your deposit and your booking will be cancelled. A reminder invoice will be sent to you 60 days prior to your arrival. Any cancellations follow our standard cancellation policy. 

  • Payments will be refunded or credited to a future stay if a request for cancellation is made more than 60 days in advance of the arrival date, less an $85 plus tax administration fee to cover processing charges.

  • If a request for cancellation is made less than 60 days in advance of the arrival date, but more than 30 days, your 50% deposit will forfeited along with an additional $85 plus tax administration fee to cover processing charges.

  • For cancellations requested within 30 days of your reservation date, all charges for the full duration and amount of your reservation are non-refundable.

  • All cancellations must be in writing via email to info@thewestarmlodge.com. There are no refunds due to power outages or storms.
