Dave, along with his wife Tammi, have had a shared dream of owning and operating a resort like The West Arm Lodge and Restaurant for too many years to remember. Dave is the real handyman among the family, with a love for sports, snowmobiling and drumming; don't worry, they are electronic drums, so only he hears them through his headphones! With experience in accounting, sales and e-commerce, Dave brings a strong desire to succeed to our Lodge. Dave will always make sure your stay is one to remember.
Tammi has been looking forward to assuming her operating role at The West Arm Lodge and Restaurant for quite some time, and is the hub of event planning, always ready with a sightseeing tip or idea. She enjoys ensuring that all guests are having a comfortable, good time during their stay. With years of customer service and systems management experience under her belt, she brings a fresh outlook to Lodge life. Feel free to ask Tammi for activity suggestions, restaurant specials, etc.
Geoff had been dreaming of getting out of the "rat race" for many years; of waking up in the morning and taking a deep breath of clean, northern air, and realizing he is already at 'work'. A lifetime of experience in management, sales and marketing, he is ready to get the Lodge noticed by more and more people looking to share in his dream, even if it is just for a quick getaway. Geoff will be the primary social media contact and presence, and along with his wife Andrea, will be looking after many of the office duties for the Lodge.
Andrea has in-depth experience in corporate and estate law, bookkeeping, and office administration. She brings her legal background and financial know-how to the many facets of running a small business in the accommodations and resorts industry. Andrea will be part of the behind-the-scenes team, assisting in running the business aspects of the Lodge. As with the rest of the family, she will also be assisting our Guests when needed, and is always happy to help out.
Daniel (please call him Dan!) holds a vital role at the Lodge: as the main point of contact with our Guests. He is our Guests Services coordinator, and will be overseeing all aspects of ensuring that your stay is comfortable, memorable and most importantly, enjoyable. Dan can help you with anything you may require during your stay with us, acting as the liaison with the other operators whenever you require something. Although truly his own man, you can see the influence of his parents, Dave & Tammi, in his drive to provide the best experience possible.
Chef Matt brings years of culinary experience, having worked his way from the beginning stations of a restaurant kitchen, to managing kitchens of his own. He is as much a believer of adventurous new flavors as he is in perfecting good old tried and true recipes with his own twists. When not in his kitchen, you can find Matt outside using his smoker for some of our mouth-watering house specialties, including bacon, brisket and chicken wings. His #1 priority is making our Guests (and local residents) fall in love with food again.
