This sounds like a great project to test the publicized capabilities for the new Silverlight. Good luck. I can't wait to see this. It sounds like you'll need some extra time on your hands to knock this one out.

I know California is a much sadder place without Jere. He was so commited to his family, his city, the Redwood Empire and California. Jere should be remembered for his contributions to the state through his work with the League of California Cities on behalf of Coastal Cities and his service on the League’s Board of Directors.A student of mine at Sac State this past semester asked me who my political heroes were. I told him I didn’t really know – his question threw me for a loop. I almost blurted out RFK, MLK or someone like that. I never knew them and while they were big picture leaders it felt disingenuous to say that.My real political heroes include Jere Mello- because he was such a man of integrity, belief, incredible energy and a commitment to his family and city. He never preached and he led by example. That is a person who deserves to be a political hero. Thank you Jere for the many laughs and teaching us about what public service truly means.

As a planning commissioner and member of the biomass power plant subcommittee, I worked with Jere and I found him to be a gentleman and a community builder with a wide circle of friends and associates, a valuable voice of reason with a mildly self effacing sense of humor, who will be missed greatly. He often brought keen insights to a discussion, was a great meeting facilitator, and always added appropriate humor to any discussion. I’ll definitely miss the man and his influence, R.I.P. Jere.To his family and friends I extend my Heartfelt condolences and hope that time, along with the love and support of your friends and the rest of our wonderful community will help to fill some of the void left by Jere’s untimely passing.

Jere Melo was (and IS) pure sunshine in his daily life, work and contributions to his family, friends and community. Since the day he married my close friend and co-worker, Madeleine, knowing Jere has been a gift. Seeing all the joy, enthusiasm and love he poured into whatever he was doing inspired me and I’m sure everyone else who knew him. When I remember Jere, it is his shining smile and his reflection of light and love that he always gave to this world. Here is a man that lived his life every moment, with all he had to give and so beautifully. May we all carry his light with us now. Nam myoho renge kyo
