Welcome aboard the Chief Commanda II.

Cruise on Lake Nipissing

Want a change? Swop your small fishingboat for a ship.  The Chief Commanda II is a 320-passenger, all aluminium twin hull vessel that cruises Lake Nipissing. This Lake is one of Northern Ontario's largest, supplying water to the Great Lakes via the French River system. Historically significant and largely undeveloped, it presents the contrast between North Bay's urban skyline and breathtaking natural vistas. Dotted by islands and surrounded by hills and escarpments, the lake is steeped in legends. Once explored by Samuel de Champlain, it has been used for logging, minerals and transportation. The Chief Commanda II is operating from North Bay.
